Miracle May True Story: How Thieves Oil Saved Our Pet Goat

Miracle May

Our family gathered tearfully as our little goat, May, succumbed to injuries from a dog attack. She was stretched out unnaturally – stiff and still – and her eyes barely flickered. It occurred to me that, though there was nothing more we could do, according to the vet, it might be nice to anoint her to ease her passage and soothe my daughter’s sadness. Was it a coincidence that I had just bought my first vial of Thieves Essential oil that morning? As I stroked a little oil on her neck, her eyes opened wide. Excited even to have a few more moments with her, Madeleine offered the molasses May had been too far gone to enjoy, and she licked it up energetically.

Thieves Oil

In the next few minutes, as I continued to touch and rub her with the oil, May came back to life! We all watched in amazement. Could this actually be happening? It didn’t seem possible, but it was happening before our eyes. I touched the awful wounds, and rubbed the stiff neck, and let her lick the oil off my fingers. She seemed to love it, and warmth returned to her body as she regained her purchase on life. Even when she finally stood up and walked a bit, my husband was still warning us not to get too excited, but it was too late! We were cheering and laughing about ‘buying stock in the company that makes the Thieves’!

You may be wondering what “Thieves Oil” is at this point.  It is named from stories in the 15th century of spice merchants robbing plague victims but never contracting the horrible disease.  They used a mixture of clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus and rosemary which was found to be anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and protected them even with very close contact from the plague!  Gary Young, founder of Young Living Essential Oils, created a blend of essential oils based on this original concoction and called it Thieves Oil.

I just want to share this, because we had prayed earnestly for her life, we had taken her for medical attention, and we had taken good care of her. Somehow, the Thieves oil revived her when we were at the end of our resources.  After seeing the miraculous recovery of our pet goat, I decided to purchase the entire YL Everyday oils kit for my family.  I have quickly come to reach for these all natural remedies instead of over the counter or prescription medications.  I’m discovering so many great uses such as peppermint oil for headaches, peace and calming when anyone is overly anxious, lavender works wonders for burns and cuts, I diffuse the essential oil Joy to lift our overall mood and Valor gives a sense of courage and determination.

I received a free oil called Blue Spruce for a promotion last month and added it with the Panaway  to a castor oil base and had the most wonderful post-physical therapy knee experience ever.  It was truly instant pain relief and it smelled great. This experience has made us all sit up and take notice of essential oils, so now we have a goat to thank for making our family healthier!
