9 Effective Home Remedies To Lighten Dark Bikini Line


Having dark bikini area can be very embarrassing, and if you rely on those topical products to fix your problems, you will get lots of harsh chemicals at the same time. Luckily, there are some natural home remedies you can use instead of spending a huge amount of money for these products. Following are some all-natural solutions:

1. Cucumber and lemon juice:

Get a small piece of cucumber and grate it.  Add some lemon juice to augment the vitamin C content and the skin whitening effect of cucumber.  Mix well and apply to the problem areas. Leave for 30 minutes and allow the cucumber and lemon juice to work their magic.

 2. Orange peel and yogurt mask:

Dry some orange peels under the sweltering sun and turn them into powder using a food processor.
Add to plain yogurt little by little until you get a real paste. Apply the paste to dark bikini lines then wash off with lukewarm water after 30 minutes.

3. Sandalwood and water:

Add a couple of drops of water to pure sandalwood powder to get a thick paste.  Apply it evenly on dark inner thighs and buttocks.  Remove the mixture with water after it dried completely.

 4. Olive oil:

Before going to bed, massage the bikini line or the genital area with olive oil. It’s packed with antioxidants that help repair and protect damaged skin.

 5. Lemon scrub:

Rub a slice of juicy lemon on the line regularly for 2-3 minutes while taking bath. Lemon removes dead skin cells, lightens dark spots and also whitens it.

6. Mashed papaya:

Take a small piece of ripe papaya and mash it using a fork.  Apply the mixture to the dark problem areas and allow it to stay there for 20 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water. Papaya contains a powerful enzyme called papain and is known as an excellent skin whitener.

 7. Sliced tomato:

Slice a ripe tomato, take one piece and massage on the dark area. Let the tomato pulp and juice stay there for 20 minutes to allow the vitamin C content to whiten the area.

 8. Almond scrub:

Soak some almonds in water overnight and the following day peel and grind the almonds.  Add some drops of fresh milk until you get a thick paste with a coarse texture. Gently massage the area to remove dark and dead skin layers.

 9. Turmeric lemon paste:

Take one teaspoon of turmeric powder and add a few drops of lemon juice and one teaspoon of yogurt(optional). Mix and apply on the bikini area for 10 minutes before taking a bath.
