UV from the sun can wreak havoc on skin. Over time, it can cause sunburns, wrinkles, premature aging, and cancer, and reduce immunity against infections.

Here are the natural oils which neutralize free radicals from the sun and from other sources, such as pollution, before they can cause damage leading to sagging, fine lines, and wrinkles.

12 Non-Toxic Natural Oils That Act As A Partial Sunscreen Layer

Coconut Oil
Inexpensive, easy to find and sweet smelling, coconut oil is a staple skin care products of traditional tropical societies all over the world. Worn when going out in the sun it provides a moderate level of protection against the sun’s rays.

Red Raspberry seed oil
Red raspberry oil is actually close to equivalent of the protection you would receive from Titanium Dioxide, found in most mineral sunscreens. The essential fatty acids and host of antioxidants in this oil are also great for other skin healing purposes including eczema and psoriasis. Red Raspberry Seed Oil protects against UVA & UVB rays.

Carrot Seed Oil
This rich oil is one of nature’s best skin guarding oils, providing a level of protection from the sun that matches high end commercial sunscreen products. Carrot seed oil is very concentrated and should be mixed with a carrier oil to create a highly effective natural sunscreen that can be used on a daily basis.

Almond Oil
Almond oil has a humble SPF of 5, but it can give your skin lots in terms of nourishment. Almond oil is rich in Vitamin E that keeps your skin soft and supple.

Olive Oil
The deep green-yellow color of cold pressed virgin olive oil is a sign of its natural sunscreen ability, as it provides medium level protection from UV rays. It was given a rating of SPF 8. Olive oil also contains a class of antioxidants known as polyphenols that help prevent age and environment related damage, including wrinkles and fine lines.
