Two Potent Fruits in Combination: The Best Treatment Against Cardiovascular Disease

No, it not a blabber, but based on a research carried by a prominent heart researcher, Professor Micheal Aviram, belonging to the Rambam Medical Center, and the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine.

The recent research carried by them open new gates against prevention of humans against serious heart disease, comprising of the hardening of the arteries, and plaque buildup.

They found pomegranate, and dates to be promising if taken in combination against atherosclerosis.

Aviram, over the three decades of his research work on the subjects of stroke, and heart disease has gathered that a condition known as cholesterol oxidation to be the main culprit against the formation of atherosclerosis.

He believes the main triggers to cholesterol oxidation are as follow:

  • Viruses
  • Bacteria
  • Smoke
  • Radiation
  • Pollution

Aviram, believes that if the cholesterol molecules get oxidized they can be very dangerous for the arteries.

In his research he studied over 100 types of vegetables, fruits, wines, and beverages.

Why he studied those?? Because he wanted to find the right antioxidants that can help curtail the oxidation that damage the fats, and cholesterol cells that lead to cardiovascular disease.

2)   Combination of the Dates, and Pomegranate: The Best Treatment Against Artherclerosis

Pomegranate juice is rich in polyphenolic antioxidants that tremendously drop oxidative stress. And also paraoxonase, an enzyme present in pomegranate juice helps to instigate oxidized cholesterol, in your blood stream.
