Tamanu: Oil for Healing Acne Scars, Eczema and Sun Damage

Skin damage is a tough thing to beat, and Tamanu oil can help fight it off!

Tamanu oil is an incredibly super tool for healing acne scars and several other skin issues.

Packed with fatty acids, and it’s also full of compounds that science hasn’t completely isolated yet. One thing that is known for sure is that it’s highly antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal, and antioxidant. It has been widely used to treat:

  • Psoriasis
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Acne
  • Scarring
  • Scabies
  • Scrapes and cuts
  • Sunburns
  • Diaper rash
  • Sore throats
  • Joint pain

It’s super excellent in healing skin problems in 3 ways:

1-Tamanu oil has been used to heal wounds effectively because of its anti-bacterial property.

2-Tamanu has anti-inflammatory property, thus making it great for treating many chronic, distressed skin conditions, including eczema.

3-It helps prevent UV related cell damage and aging.

How to use this super oil for your skin:

1-You can mix some drops of tamanu oil with your facial moisturizer, this will give your moisturizer an extra boost.

2-Before bedtime, clean your face and carefully apply a very small amount of the pure tamanu oil to your face.  Then massage it gently into your skin. This will create an anti aging effect on the skin because it firms the skin and diminishes wrinkles.

3-DIY the Tamanu Oil Dry Scrub:

  • Rub a thick layer of tamanu oil over the skin you want to exfoliate.
  • Massage for a minute or two.
  • Take a small handful of sugar into the palm of your hand, and very, very softly massage the sugar around on your skin.
  • Do this for 3-5 minutes.
  • Rinse the sugar off with water.

Left behind will be amazingly soft, glowing skin. It may still feel a tiny bit oily for a while, but it sinks in relatively quickly. Within 10-15 minutes.
