We all know that garlic is good for us. It has been hailed for lowering cholesterol, reducing blood pressure, balancing blood sugar, fighting viruses and fungus, miracle cure for the cold and flu, and an immune booster. Nobody likes to peel garlic and the ready to use jar variety costs a fortune. So how do you get that garlic peeled in less than a minute?
I saw a video on You Tube and thought it was a joke. Until I tried this method and it works like a charm.
You will need a head of garlic and a cooking pot with a lid.
1. Place the garlic head on your counter top.
2. Smash it hard once with the bottom of the pot. You should now have the unpeeled pieces of garlic separated from the head.
3. Place these pieces into the pot along with the stem and pieces and put the lid on. Now shake it vigorously for about 20 seconds.
Viola, like magic, when you open the pot you will have fully peeled and ready to use garlic cloves!
