Delicious chocolate trail bites (serves 6)

If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll absolutely adore delish chocolate trail bites. These are just perfect for a midday office break, and they can’t be easier to make. First of all, you should melt one and a half cups of dark chocolate chips in a small pot. Here’s a little tip: add a tad of coconut oil to the chocolate – it’ll be much shinier and more gorgeous once it’s firm again! Then, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place tablespoon-sized amounts of melted chocolate onto it. Add dried cranberries, sliced almonds, pistachios, and shredded coconut on the top of each pile of chocolate (you’ll need about half a cup for each). You can also sprinkle flaky sea salt over them! Once that’s done, refrigerate your chocolates until firm (for about an hour), and munch on them all day long!

Extraordinary sweet potato chips (serves 2-4)

This incredible office snack is one of the best options when you’re on the go, since it’s extremely simple to make. Preheat your oven to 180°C and place two wire racks in two large rimmed baking sheets. Cut two medium sweet potatoes into thin slices, and coat them with one tablespoon of vegetable oil. In a separate bowl, whisk together one tablespoon of cornstarch, two teaspoons of smoked paprika, one tablespoon of chili powder, one teaspoon of mustard powder, two teaspoons of kosher salt, and half a teaspoon of freshly ground pepper. Coat the potatoes with this mixture, and place them on wire racks in a single layer. Bake for about 30 minutes, until they look crispy. While the potatoes cool, you can make a delicious homemade dip that perfectly matches the crispiness of the potato chips!

Cupid-approved love potion smoothie (serves 2)

Fitness addicts from all over the globe, unite! Here comes the ultimate office snack that’s more than appropriate if you’re all about healthy lifestyle and clean eating – an adorable love potion smoothie you can share with your office sweetheart. For this lovely snack, you’ll need the following ingredients: two cups of skimmed or almond milk, one cup of fresh raspberries (frozen are fine, too), one ripe banana, one tablespoon of cocoa powder, half a teaspoon of both vanilla and cinnamon, a pinch of cayenne pepper, and a couple of ice cubes. Place them all in a blender, and blend until the mass becomes smooth and silky. Pour your smoothie into two glasses and share.

Greek pita cups on point (18 cups)

If you’re a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, these Greek pita cups are everything you need for a healthy, yet extremely tasty snack. Preheat your oven to 180°C and spritz the cups of a muffin tin with cooking spray. Cut three pitas into six slices, and place each triangle into a muffin cup, so that it forms a bowl-like shape. Bake until lightly golden, and let cool for 10 minutes before removing them. Add hummus to each cup, making sure to fill it half-way. Then take a large bowl and mix the following ingredients: two tablespoons of olive oil, half a cup of diced cucumber, two teaspoons of both parsley and chopped dill, and four tablespoons of chopped kalamata olives (pitted). Top each hummus cup with a spoonful of this magnificent mixture, and then add crumbled feta cheese and a grape tomato half on the top of each cup. Bon appétit!

Each of these four office snack ideas is beyond delicious, which places them at the top of our list for a good reason. Apart from being tasty, these are healthy, too – after all, it’s much better to make your own snacks, than to buy junk food full of additives and other substances that may be harmful for your health.
