As we age, maintaining a healthy weight becomes tougher because the body’s metabolism slows down the various processes, including hormonal ones. The type of food we eat greatly influences our body type and skin and best way to look young is to eat natural food.
For example, it’s an established fact that spicy food is often associated with a variety of health problems. Food from natural sources like fruits, vegetables and nuts on the other hand contain powerful anti-ageing chemicals that make your skin look younger. Nuts and walnuts are a vital source of fatty acids which are responsible for maintaining healthy cell membranes. These in turn can prevent toxins from entering your cells. Another great fruit choice is lemons – they have a wide range of vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to the skin by cleansing and nourishing it.
As we age our skin becomes drier and loses its elasticity which is responsible for the lines that people see on their face as they grow older. This can be staved off by eating fruits rich in healthy, natural oils such as avocado, nuts, seeds and also olive oil.
Natural Food Diet Plan
The Natural Food Diet plan is a diet I’ve devised that facilitates weight loss, promotes general well-being and also helps your skin glow. Here’s what you should do:
- Start your day with a tall glass of lemon juice with 2 teaspoon honey or plain lemon juice and step out for a 30 minute morning walk. Once you return, have a fruit or 200ml vegetable juice. This will help accelerate your metabolism.
- For breakfast have a dropper of PhytOriginal marine algae for omegas, a bowl of fresh seasonal fruits with dried fig and currant soaked in water overnight.
- For lunch you could have salad, sprouts and green chutney at noon
- At around 3 pm have about 200 ml of fruit or vegetable juice
- Have another fruit at 5 pm
- Try and have dinner by 8 pm. Your dinner should include salads, 100gm almonds, cashew, walnuts, coconut and peanuts soaked in water.
If you have hunger pangs between meals you can have a banana or some sprouts or some other veggies.
Some other tips:
Don’t add salt – Always remember that trying to make a meal more palatable, by adding copious amounts of salt will only damage your health further. With age, the body’s ability to get rid of excess fluid also slows down. Since salt causes water retention, cutting down on salt will help decrease bloating which makes you feel sluggish and heavy. You should also be aware that you actually eat more salt than the amount you sprinkle on your food. Food items like ready-to-eat meals, soups and breads often have a lot of salts.
Cut down on cereals – Cut down on the number of rotis or amount of rice you eat since they contain a lot of carbohydrates. This might be hard in the beginning and in the early days you can include them in your meals two or three times a week.
The above diet should make you feel much lighter and give you more energy, keep your body healthy and help you stay ‘young’.
Less or no consumption of Roti, Dal and Chawal is always good for your health. Still two-three carpets can be taken during a week in this Natural food diet plan. This diet program will first flush the system and give the dieter a feeling of well being. After ten days dieters will begin to feel lighter which will give the feeling of lightness, energy and an improved disposition. It is a balanced program which will keep you healthy forever and wrinkles and old age will be miles away from you.
Avoid Cereals & Pulses to live Healthy
Cereals and Pulses are considered to be one of the most nutritious food to live a healthy life but the fact has been neglected that the intake of these cereals is not raw. Before it goes into the stomach it has been changed into the delicious and spicy dishes, which lost all the nutritional value after being processed and cooked.
Cereals and Pulses are actually morbific agents, it is not easy to digest. Lots of physical efforts are required to digest cereals, which is not possible for the people who are in the jobs where mental exercise is required. The intake of pulses on a daily basis along with the spices makes a person unhealthy and it causes gastric troubles & body aches. The cereals would have nutritional value if it can be taken in sprouted form but the daily intake quantity should not be exceeded. The skin will look fresher and body will be healthier if cereals can be replaced by dry fruits in breakfast and and pulses will be replaced by green vegetables in lunch.
The protein that a human body gets from Cereals is insufficient hence it affects the digestive system of the human body. Our body needs more carbohydrates and sugar than protein and fruits are the excellent source to get the required sugar in the body.
Cereals are the food of earthy elements depending exclusively on these foods creates acid residues, develops hardening & stiffening of arteries & joints making body heavy & stiff. Then to break down this stiffness we have to take help of yoga & other exercises. Lesser the cereal intake, more flexible the body. People are severely addicted to cereals. Now since thousands of centuries, cooked cereals are serious addictions It has an alcoholic type of influence on our body but mildly.
Natural food is the replacement of these diets. The natural food need not to be modified, it contains the required carbohydrate, protein, vitamin and sugar for the body. Try to intake dry fruits, fruits and green vegetables in daily diet rather than having Roti, Dal, Chawal on a daily basis. These should be strictly avoided to live a healthy and long life.
