Homemade Syrup: Eliminate Cough Within 24 Hour

Coughing is the body’s way of expelling an irritant in the throat and airways, and can be caused by many factors, including allergies, asthma, pneumonia, flu, colds and postnasal drip. While coughing is a normal occurrence, if it persists longer than a week you should be evaluated by a medical provider to determine the underlying cause and receive proper treatment. Some people use onions as a home remedy for a cough, but they cannot replace conventional treatment and have not been proven effective against coughs.

Onion is great tool against different respiratory conditions, including colds and cough. Onion can act as a good expectorant if taken raw.
Sulfur compounds and flavonoids, which can be found in onion, can be very beneficial for the heart and for treating different diseases and health conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, cholesterol levels etc. This vegetable is also a great antioxidant.
What is required:
  • 1 kg onions
  • 3 liters of water

Method of Preparation:
Take one kilogram of medium size onions with skins, remove the mustache, wash it well and then cut them into four pieces, place them in a pot with 3 liters of water and allow them to boil. Boil until in the pot remains 1.5 liters of water. Allow it to cool down and then strain.

Drink 250 ml sweetened with a spoonful of honey and juice of half a lemon.

Usually one or two doses stop the coughing.

This beverage is tried many times and it is always effective in the treatment of the most obstinate cough.

With taking this drink you can stop your cough in two or three days.

 

Drink one and a half glasses of the resulting liquid two times a day. You can improve this beverage’s taste by adding honey and/or lemon juice.

Ingredients required:

  • 2 medium sized organic apples
  • 2 medium sized onions
  • 14 walnuts

Method of preparation:

Clean and wash the onions and cut each onion into four pieces. Do the same with the apples and crush and clean the walnuts. Put the ingredients in a bowl, put the water in it and place the bowl on fire.Cook until half of the water evaporates.

Consume 1 cup of the resulting liquid three times a day. Add little bit of lemon juice and/or honey in order to improve the liquid’s taste.

Tea for cough:

You need:

  •  2 midsize apples
  • 2 midsize onions
  • 11 walnuts

Preparation:

Remove the mustache of the onion, wash it well and cut it into quarters.

Wash the apples well and cut them in quarters.

Wash and break the walnuts.

The ingredients prepared in this way are placed in a pot with three liters of water and are boiled until it remains 1.5 liters of water. Allow it to cool down and then strain.

You need:

  • Onion- (to get 100 grams of juice)
  • Honey – 100 grams

Strain 100 grams of onion juice in a jar and add 100 grams of honey.

Mix it well and take one tablespoon half an hour before a meals three times a day.

It purifies the blood vessels and the brain but it also improves your memory.

Besides that, it helps the brain to function better, with renewing the brain cells.
