This article highlights holistic weight loss tips that you can add to any regimen. This isn’t a magic list, although for some, it might reveal the missing components that can leverage  weight loss. Weight loss and managing weight is a struggle for many people. With all the fad diets, trendy workouts, weight loss pills and gimmicks, where does one even begin to make a real difference?

Filter through this guide and jot down the tips that resonate with you. Don’t forget to add this to your bookmarks or share on your social media for easy reference.

Let’s get started.

Tip 1. Add one fresh, raw fiber rich fruit to your daily diet. Apples, pears, bananas, mangoes, etc. Adding fiber rich foods to your diet in raw form will help carry out toxins that accumulate in the colon.

Tip 2. Eat your fresh fiber fruit in the morning to early afternoon. Timing can be everything with fructose intake.

Tip 3. Avoid eating any kind of sugar after 6 pm. Sugar, including fructose from fruits, skyrockets your blood sugar and decreases circulation and metabolism. Decreasing circulation is not the goal before resting at night.

Tip 4. Drink one full glass of water before your meal. Did you know it is common to feel hungry when you are thirsty? Dehydration tricks the brain into feeling it needs nourishment. Drinking a full glass of water before each meal can curb hunger and boost metabolism.

Tip 5. Find a great multi-vitamin that works for you. When the body is malnourished, organs and tissues will hold on to everything because it believes it is starving. Choose a plant based multi-vitamin or make your own with herbs and plants.

Tip 6. Add a small daily salad to your lunch. Adding a boost of raw vegetables in the mid day will boost your energy, skyrocket your brain power, and will help curb those 3 o’clock sugar cravings.

Tip 7. Exchange one soda per day with a glass of water. If you are still drinking soda or beverages that are high in sugar, try decreasing your soda by just one a day. Small steps can make the long term goal more reachable.

Tip 8. Add a squeeze of lemon or lime to your water. Lemons and limes have a low pH factor that can help you release toxins, cellulite or stored fat.

Tip 9. Increase your water and hydration by one glass per day. Water isn’t just for meals. Keep hydrated throughout the day and increase your kidney and liver cleansing function.

Tip 10. Eat a balanced breakfast. By starting your day with just a small meal, you are giving your body the signal to begin burning fat and using calories. Create a new tradition for breakfast: Eggs, a side of spinach and avocado, fruit salad, and a cup of herbal tea. (This is a family favorite in our house!)

Tip 11. Eat one banana per day. Bananas are great at helping digestion and improving muscle tone. By adding just one banana per day, muscle cramps can subside completely.

Tip 12. Stretch your body for a few minutes before your shower in the morning. Stretching releases toxins and built up lactic acid.

Tip 13. When needing a quick meal, choose the healthiest option available, just for that day. Life isn’t perfect. Sometimes we need to run through a drive thru. When this happens, instead of shaming yourself, just accept it and choose the best option you can.

Tip 14. Journal your feelings about your weight and emotional blocks that may prevent you from fulfilling your goal. For a lot of people, weight gain is not a food intake problem. For some, stored negative emotions can cause the body to latch on to fats and toxins as a layer of protection. If you think this is happening to you, please seek the counsel of a trusted coach or professional to see you through.

Tip 15.  Set a real goal and write it down on paper. Look at this goal every day! Put it in a place you’ll see it. By creating a physical goal and reminding yourself of it, you can set your mind up to accept and work toward it without as much effort.
