Home Remedies For Heart Palpitation

Cold Water

Splashing cold water on your face or taking a cold shower shocks your body and resets your normal heart rhythm. I am sure this works for some people, but I hate taking cold showers, so I usually pass on this one unless the palpitations are really bad.

Deep Breathing

Deep breathing exercises are great for reducing anxiety and can certainly help slow down your heart rate, which can reduce your palpitations. So do your favorite deep breathing exercise and see if that does the trick.

Cinnamon has manganese and potassium and is known to be good for the heart. You can either mix cinnamon powder with water and have it daily or alternatively mix cinnamon powder with honey and have the mixture daily.

Hawthorn Herb

Hawthorn herb increases blood flow to the heart and helps stabilize heartbeat. This herb however may interfere with some medications and therefore should be taken under the guidance of a medical practitioner.

Lemon with Honey Drink

Squeeze half of the lemon and mix about 1 tsp of honey to the lime juice. Add 250 ml of water to it. Intake this mixture every day as it would reduce the problem of palpitations.

Cut one guava up and eat it early in the morning on an empty stomach. This is also effective for those who suffer from anxiety and anemia.

Magnesium Intake

Magnesium deficiency in the body can also cause heart palpitations. This mineral ensures smooth functioning of the heart and the nervous system as well as better blood circulation in the body.
