Morning people often have great morning habits and attitude. They usually love the feeling when the stream of morning light touches their cheeks. More often, these types of people are more productive and can finish the day early and less stressful than those who are not.

If you are a mother, you really need to become a morning person whether you like it or not.

Here are some healthy morning routines that moms can practice for themselves:

Get-up before your kid does – When you have kids at home, it would be better to wake up for at least 45 minutes or an hour before they do. Waking up early can really help you prepare healthy breakfast meals for your family and may also help you have a quiet time for yourself, plus it also lessens the stress of morning rush. You may also have enough time to help your kids or even your husband with their own morning routines once you wake up early.

Re-hydrate with lemon water – They say that drinking water in the morning after waking up can awaken your metabolism and re-hydrates your dehydrated system but drinking lemon water is a lot better. Lemon water is a great energy booster plus it helps you have a good digestive health, flushes out body toxins and makes your skin clear and moisturized.

Early meditation and praying – Meditating in the morning is another great morning routine that you can add to your daily lifestyle. Since you are a mom who has kids to take care of plus a husband, you will really need to have a time for yourself to gather your thoughts, and prepare yourself for another stressful day. Meditation doesn’t just give you a quiet time alone but can also help improve your emotional maturity, attentiveness, and your endurance towards the things that you will need to deal the whole day. Praying is also another morning routine that can help you gain wisdom and be guided on the different disarrays that you might encounter throughout the day.

Take a cold shower – taking a cold shower early in the morning is probably not a part of your habit and probably, it’s the hardest thing for you to do in the morning considering that mornings are always cold. Cold shower is actually good for your body unless if you’re experiencing cold or fever symptoms. Cold shower doesn’t just shock your sleeping body but can also improve your skin and hair.

Exercise – doing exercise in the morning is one of the common morning routines people have. Exercise isn’t just good for losing weight but it helps your overall health. Doing some light exercise, such as walking, jogging, stretching or taking out your dog for a stroll is quite good enough.

Take a healthy breakfast meal – they say that, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, that is actually true. In fact, a clinical associate professor at Boston University said that “Rising and dining could be the best way to start the day and prolong your life”. You see, breakfast can prolong your life. Who doesn’t like that? But of course, it could prolong your life if it is a healthy breakfast meal.
