Fresh carrot juice, spinach juice, beet juice, cucumber juice, and other vegetable juices are excellent for your health, especially when dealing with pneumonia. Boil one tablespoon of sesame seeds in a cup of water. Mix in one tablespoon of linseed (flaxseeds) and continue boiling. Strain the mixture and then add one teaspoon of honey and a pinch of salt. Drink this mixture once daily.

Lemon
Lemon has anti-bacterial properties and is an excellent natural home remedy for pneumonia. Being rich in vitamin C, it reduces the body’s temperature and boosts the immunity. Either add lemon zest to your meal or just sprinkle some lemon juice on your salad.

Garlic
Garlic kills the bacteria, viruses, and parasites that cause pneumonia. It contains allicin which is anti – bacterial and anti – viral helps to strengthen the immune system to fight off the illness. It also reduces phlegm in the lungs. Crush a garlic clove with a press to extract 1 teaspoon of juice. Mix the juice with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey. Consume 1 teaspoon of this mixture to get relief from pneumonia and the pain. Have this 3 times daily.

Oregano Oil

Fenugreek Seeds
Fenugreek seeds reduce mucus in the lungs and promote perspiration, which reduces fever and detoxifies the body. Boil 2 cups of water and stir in 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds. Reduce heat and let simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat a let steep 10 minutes.

Application of turpentine oil mixed with camphor on the chest area can help in the treatment of pneumonia. It is advisable for an individual suffering from pneumonia to massage the chest area (with this mixture) for atleast 15 to 20 minutes on a regular basis to obtain the desired results.

Honey
