These days, most people strive to look and feel their best, whether it’s through weight control, staying well groomed or eating healthy foods. For Mimi Kirk, she’s done all of the above and then some. A raw foodist for over 40 years, Kirk is the author of *Live Raw: The Natural Way to Good Health and Timeless Beauty and *Live Raw Around the World: International Raw Food Recipes for Good Health and Timeless Beauty (July 2013) saying it’s her ” . . . passion to help people eat better.”

She not only coaches, writes, provides personal consultations and maintains her Facebook page but is a raw food chef who was also the winner of PETA Prime’s first “Sexiest Vegetarian over 50” contest. (See what we mean about her great energy levels?) Her age when she won? A mere 70.

That’s right. Kirk, who was widowed at age 29, has seven grandchildren. Now, she’s 75 (born September 23, 1938) and still remains worthy of the title. While most people fall into the notion that aging and having grandchildren is on par with vanishing energy levels and showing physical signs of aging, Kirk has done just the opposite. She believes her raw food lifestyle which also involves juicing is the reason behind her energy levels and youthful appearance. In fact, her media appearances are too large to list, but they include popular outlets including FOX News, The Doctors and The Cool Vegetarian.

Kirk, who is also very active on her Facebook page, describes herself as an “. . . organic, vegan food enthusiast.” She adds that she’s a “lover of life and of all living things . . . Dedicated to optimum health, longevity . . . Smiling and laughing into [my] hundreds.”

Youthful foods: What Mimi Kirk keeps in her refrigerator

Kirk stresses the importance of keeping everything organized in containers lined with paper towels, or in jars and packets. “If you want to really stay on a raw food diet and juice every day,” Kirk says, “you really have to be organized because it makes it so much easier.”
