7 Natural Beauty Treatments You Can Make With Fruit

Luxury spas all around the world use many treatments based on fruits (or vegetables) as they are nutrient rich and will help to nourish and protect your natural beauty. No time or money to go to a spa? No problem. Here are some wonderful treatments that can be easily made at home.

Pomegranate Scrub
Process two tablespoons pomegranate seeds with one cup raw oats. Add two tablespoons honey and two tablespoons buttermilk then apply to face, scrub gently, and rinse. The moisturizing effect of the buttermilk and honey and the antioxidants and exfoliating power for the pomegranate seeds will remove dead skin cells and leave skin soft and radiant.

Strawberry Face Mask
Strawberries are rich in antioxidants and nourish the skin and protect it against the aging effects of free radicals which can lead to skin cell damage and the breakdown of the collagen that keeps skin firm and smooth. To make the mask, process one cup fresh or frozen strawberries then mix it with one cup plain yogurt and one and a half tablespoons honey. Apply it to your face once or twice a week.

Yogurt Face Mask
Yogurt is great for your routine as it contains lactic acid that acts as a natural purifier to cleanse your skin of impurities and leave it clear. This mask can clear up minor blemishes, skin discoloration and even fine wrinkles. To use, simply combine one cup of Greek yogurt, two to three drops of almond oil and one tablespoon of honey. Apply to face and allow it to set for twenty to thirty minutes before rinsing.

Green Grape Wrinkle Reducer
Mash a handful of green grape until the juice flows then dab the juice up with a cotton ball and apply to the delicate areas of the face like around the eyes and mouth. Allow it to set for 5 minutes, then rinse it off and for best results, perform this treatment several times a week. The natural oils and acids in the grape juice tones and tightens the skin and reduces fine lines.

Minty Undereye Circle Reducer
For dark undereye circles, one of the best and quickest ways to cure this is to take fresh mint leaves, crush them gently, and apply to crushed leaves to the affected areas. This treatment is effective because mint contains flavonoids, powerful antioxidants which protect the eyes against free radical damage.

Citrus Face Peel
The citrus fruit used in this peel supplies your skin with Vitamin A and removes dead skin cells and other debris, while the egg yolk and honey moisturizes. To make it, combine one egg yolk, one tablespoon honey and one-eighth of a cup citrus juice with a packet of plain gelatin. Apply it to your face then peel off after twenty to twenty-five minutes.

Avocado Body Mask
Avocadoes are rich in protein, antioxidants and Vitamins A, D and E and can help treat sun-damaged or scarred skin and also reduce age spots. Blend two avocadoes into a smooth paste then add three tablespoons sea salt, one-fourth cup honey, the rind and juice of two lemons and one-fourth cup coconut oil. Apply to your skin for ten to fifteen minutes then rinse.

You will find that all seven of these fruity recipes leave your skin, hair and face looking radiant and beautiful – naturally.
