A mixture consisting of a tablespoon of crushed or grated Amla and a tablespoon of lemon juice should me massaged onto the scalp thoroughly. The mixture should be left overnight and can be washed off the next morning with shampoo.

3. Onion Juice

Onions happen to rich in sulphur, as a result they are able to boost collagen production, promoting hair growth as a result. Hair fall can be controlled by applying onion juice onto the scalp.

The juice can be squeezed out of finely chopped pieces of an onion. That juice should then be applied onto the scalp and left for at least 15 minutes. After fifteen minutes have passed, the scalp should be rinsed thoroughly, making sure to use a mild shampoo. It is best if the onion juice be applied onto scalp twice a week for ideal hair growth results and to reduce hair loss.

4. Aloe Vera

Certain enzymes that are present in Aloe vera happen to be capable of promoting health and natural hair growth. aloe vera also possesses alkalizing properties, so it can also help restore and maintain a desirable pH level in both the hair and the scalp, further promoting the growth of hair. Applying aloe vera gel and/or juice can also make existing hair more lustrous.

An adequate amount of aloe vera gel or juice should be applied onto the scalp and be left for a couple of hours. It can then be washed off with lukewarm water. Additionally, to further boost and enhance the health and growth of hair, it is even recommended consume a tablespoon of aloe vera juice every day on an empty stomach.

5. Licorice Root

Licorice root not only prevents hair from falling, it also helps ensuring that remaining hairs on the scalp do not get further damaged. Licorice roots possess mollifying qualities, so they have a soothing effect on the scalp, while also alleviating irritations of the scalp like dry flakes and opening the pores as well.

Rather than being applied directly, Licorice root will have to be mixed with a few additional ingredients. A tablespoon of ground licorice root and 1/4 teaspoon of saffron should be added to a cup of milk and mixed together. This will create a paste, which should be applied on any bald patches before going to bed and should be left overnight. The dried paste can be washed off the day after.
