The new year is upon us, and we all have our goals of finally getting that 6 pack abs and shredded physique we’ve been dreaming about.

Well, this isn’t going to happen overnight!

Also, this isn’t going to happen without a legitimate plan.

Check out these tips on how you can make sure that you achieve your New Year’s Resolution this year!

Ditch the Fat Burners, Opt for Coffee or Tea in 2018!

Yes, there are some good fat burners out there, but most of them are going to drain your adrenal system and leave you worn out and dehydrated in a matter of days.

Instead, focus on drinking more high-quality tea and coffee this year!

Bulletproof coffee is a trend that has been growing in the United States for the last couple of years, and people are quickly learning how this morning drink can help them with their fitness goals.

Green tea is commonly known to be an excellent fat burning aid as well, but did you know there are other teas which can help even more?

Yerba mate tea, matcha tea, and oolong tea are all fat burning teas which will make a dramatic difference in your body when you choose them over fat burning pills this year!

Intermittent Fasting is Becoming a Normal Fitness Trend, Don’t Miss the Boat!

Intermittent fasting involves eating for only a few hours per day, while “fasting” for the other parts.  A normal schedule would be to fast for 16 hours per day, while only feeding yourself for the other 8 hours per day.

Some people do a true fast during this time where they only drink water, but I prefer to add some other foods and supplements during this time.

Personally, I like to train in the morning during this fasted time.  This is referred to as “fasted training.”

Before my training I prefer to intake some fish oil, caffeine (such as from coffee or tea), BCAAs, and L-Carnitine.

My body will remain in a fasted state from intaking only these products, but it helps to protect my muscles from catabolizing during training.

More people than ever are learning that intermittent fasting is healthy for our bodies, and it will certainly help you burn the fat you are looking to get rid of this year!

Lifting Weights is the New Cardio

I don’t mean to say that nobody is doing cardiovascular exercises anymore, but more people than ever are learning that lifting weights will help you burn fat, and sculpt a better-looking body.

CrossFit revolutionized how people get in shape by combining weight lifting exercises in to a cardiovascular workout.

CrossFit workouts are not for everyone, but the concept remains the same even for newer trainees.

Lifting weights and building muscle is scientifically proven to help you burn more calories during your day, and achieve the fitness goals you are looking for.

In 2018 we are no longer rotting away with steady-state cardio on the treadmill, this year is all about making real changes to our bodies!
