Homemade apple cider in a slowcooker with fresh apples and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg is a perfect treat for your dinner.

Basic Homemade Apple Cider

Ingredients
•10 fresh apples
•1 orange
•2 cinnamon sticks
•Dash of nutmeg (ground)
•Dash of cloves (ground or 4 whole)
•1 Gallon of filtered water

Instructions

Wash and cut the apples into slices and place in slow cooker.

Slice orange into 8 slices and add to slow cooker.

Add spices, and pour water into the slow cooker and turn on low for about 8 hours.

Strain out apples and spices using a cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer.

Non-alcoholic Mulled Apple Cider

Ingredients:

•3 cinnamon sticks
•2 mulling bags (pre-mixed mulling spices)
•2.1 – 4.2 qt. apple cider
•Juice from ½ lemon
•3 tbsp. brown sugar
•⅛ tsp. butter

Directions:

•Pour apple cider in a large stockpot.
•Start heating the pot on medium and add the mulling bags.
•When you see vapors coming up, add sugar, cinnamon sticks, and butter.
•Stir in lemon juice.
•Simmer for around 45 mins with the lid on, stirring at regular intervals to avoid burning and boiling of the cider.
•Your non-alcoholic mulled apple cider is ready to serve with a cinnamon stick.

Caramel Apple Cider

Ingredients:

•3 cups apple cider
•½ cup water
•¼ cup heavy cream
•¼ cup brown sugar
Caramel Whipped Cream•½ cup heavy cream
•1 tbsp. brown sugar

Directions
•To begin, put the cream into a saucepan and mix the brown sugar. Then place it over medium heat and bring the mixture to boil.
•At this point, add in the cider and water, and increase the heat to medium.
•Stir the mixture well, and in about 4 minutes, the cider should begin to steam.
•Put heavy cream in a small chilled bowl, and add brown sugar to it. Whip it until soft peaks are formed.
•Pour the cider into 4 mugs, and add 2 tablespoons of caramel whipped cream to each mug.
